Visiting Oxford
Getting to the beautiful city of Oxford has never been easier. Please find here some of the most convenient and common ways to travel to the city and places you can store your luggage if need be.
Luggage Storage
Wether you arrive early before checking into your Hotel/Guest house or maybe you are just visiting Oxford for the day. Here are some of the places that will hold your luggage so you are free to enjoy your day without any restraint’s. Firstly we have the Central Backpackers hostel(7am-11pm) located 5 minutes walk from the railway station & secondly there is Oxford News (6am-7pm) situated within Oxford’s main central Gloucester Green coach station.
By Car
If you are planning to drive into Oxford it is highly recommended that you use one of the Four Park & Ride carparks located just outside Oxford’s city centre. This is the most affoardable of all the options.
There are also serveral long stay carparks in the city centre such as Gloucester Green the Westgate centre and Oxpens but expect to pay a bit more of a premium for the convenience.
Alternatively you can try YOUR PARKING SPACE a website where locals rent out their private property for you to use at a good price. But be warned these parking spaces sell out quickly.
By Train
There are direct trains from Two of London’s major stations which normally take around an hour to arrive at the Oxford Railway Station. These trains depart rather frequently and run quite late.

By Bus
Alternatively you can get to Oxford by using the Oxford Tube coach serivce from central London. Travel time is normally between 90-120 minutes depending on what stop you board at. There are Bus stops at the following locations.
- London Victoria
- Marble Arch
- Notting Hill Gate
- Shepherd's Bush
